Our management team consists of:
Andrew Hartery
Andrew is an IT industry professional with over 17 year’s experience, which has involved working with many industries and across different business areas. He is qualified with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Applied Computing from the Waterford Institute of Technology and has numerous other training programmes to his credit, covering all aspects of IT, from e-business to database technologies.
Andrew has spent time working abroad as well as in Ireland with large companies such as UBS bank, Tetra Pak, Cable & Wireless, Glanbia and also small consultancy firms dealing with SME type companies. This mix provides a great understanding as to the varying needs and requirements of large and small businesses.
Andrew specialises in database and data warehousing consultancy and project management and is experienced in all aspects of the project lifecycle.
As the managing director of EKAM Solutions Ltd, Andrew ensures that all contracts progress in a timely manner and are brought to a successful conclusion.
Mary Hartery
Mary heads our e-business department. Having completed a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Applied Computing from Waterford Institute of Technology, Mary was accepted into the Masters programme in electronic Business Management in the prestigious University of Warwick, (UK).
Since graduating, Mary has worked with a range of businesses from many different sectors helping them integrate their offline and online marketing strategies and creating e-business plans tailored to the needs of individual companies. Mary is involved with the initial phase of a website project, which includes collecting content and images, planning the website structure and designing the website templates. She also helps with the testing and promotion of sites once they have been launched. Website promotion techniques include e-mail marketing, search engine optimisation, pay per click advertising, banner advertising, affiliate marketing, link building and viral marketing. She is a member of the International Webmasters Association and has also spent some time working for Honeywell Application Systems.
Gary Hearne
Gary heads our technical services section. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Applied Computing from Waterford Institute of Technology and his expertise in I.T. covers a broad spectrum from programming to computer maintenance. Gary is known for his creative troubleshooting solutions and persistance which will not allow any problem go unsolved.
Gary also has a wealth of experience with network setup and maintenance, including two years at Newtown School in Waterford, maintaining a network with approximately 90 computers and 4 servers. He successfully works with numerous businesses to ensure maximum functionality from their I.T. resources and liaises with clients to asses their needs and recommends the best approach forward.
